Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Muzza (muzza.ai) uses cookies, local storage, and session storage. It lists the main cookies and storage keys the site sets, what each one does, and how long it lasts.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember your preferences between visits. We also use local storage and session storage, two similar technologies: local storage keeps values on your device until you clear them, and session storage keeps values only for the current browser session.
Cookies We Use
Essential and functional storage runs by default. Product analytics run by default and can be turned off in Privacy settings. We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies; the only advertising-related item is the first-party ad-click attribution cookie described in the table below.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | Essential | Authentication session token | Session |
NEXT_LOCALE | Functional | Remembers your interface language | 1 year |
muzza_chat_locale | Functional | Remembers the default language for new character chats | 1 year |
muzza_tg_miniapp | Functional | Marks that you are browsing inside the Telegram Mini App | 12 hours |
muzza.plus18.v1 | Functional | Remembers your 18+ media blur preference on this device; for registered accounts the choice is also saved to the account | 1 year |
muzza-ad-attr | Attribution (first-party) | Set only when you arrive from one of our ads. Stores the ad network's click identifier and campaign parameters so we can report when your visit leads to a first paid chat message; we send the network only its own click identifier | 7 days |
muzza_analytics_consent | Analytics | Stores your analytics choice on this device, including an explicit opt-out | 395 days |
_ga* | Analytics (set by Google) | Distinguishes visitors for Google Analytics measurements; set by Google's script, not by Muzza | Up to about 2 years |
Local and Session Storage
We use browser local storage for interface preferences, notification state, and analytics markers, and browser session storage for short-lived values that are cleared when you close the browser. Interface preferences remain on your device; the pseudonymous visitor fingerprint described below is sent to our server as described.
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
sidebar-collapsed | Sidebar state (collapsed or expanded) |
muzza_push_denied | Remembers that you dismissed the push-notification permission prompt |
muzza_visit_count, muzza_last_visit_date | Count your visits on distinct days, to time the push-notification prompt |
muzza_utm_attribution | Stores the campaign parameters (UTM) that brought you here, for analytics; each capture is used for 30 minutes |
muzza_first_* | First-time markers (for example muzza_first_first-chat) that help analytics tell a first action from a repeat one |
anon_fp_cache (session storage) | Caches a pseudonymous visitor fingerprint for journey continuity, earned-Token attribution, fraud prevention, and aggregate analytics. It is sent server-side with a hash derived from the trusted request IP. |
muzza_wizard_draft (session storage) | Keeps your character-creation draft while the creation wizard is open |
What We Don't Use
We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies. The only advertising-related item is the first-party ad-click attribution cookie described above.
Analytics
Google Analytics and its site-speed measurements run by default. You can turn them off in Privacy settings; that choice is stored on this device and applies on later visits, and turning them off unmounts the analytics scripts. When they run, Google sets its own cookies (such as _ga) to tell visitors apart; see the table above for their lifetime.
- Essential server-side payment, entitlement, security, and reliability records remain.
- An explicit opt-out in Privacy settings unmounts product analytics
Managing Cookies
You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Deleting essential cookies affects how the platform works:
- Deleting session cookies will require you to log in again
- Deleting preference cookies resets the related choice, such as your interface language or sidebar state
- Use Privacy settings to turn product analytics off or on again
